Sab Raag Utsav - With Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and Pt. Bhavani Shankar, Pt Subhankar Banerjee Pt. Rajendra Gangani

Pt Sohan Lal Panwar,of jaipur Gharana, a very synonymous name in the world of Kathak. the flawless dancer, whose dance has divine power and honoured personally by artists like Pt. Birju Maharaj, Sitara Devi ji and Late Pt. Durgalal ji.
The Festival is in the fond memory to celebrate the grandeur that was created by him and followed by the generations that keep the traditions alive till date.
Sixth generation of Panwar Family has therefore decided to take the opportunity to pay its last regards to the music industry. Hiten Panwar, the trendsetting percussionist has decided to pay his share of gratitude to his Late Grandfather, Pt.Sohan Lal Panwar.   
This one day cultural fest aims to connect with all those who were associated with Indian classical Music- as a performer, as a student or as a rasika (listener)
The event will be divided in two parts, Kathak and Pakhwaj 
Part one, Kathak- Artist  Pt Subhankar Banerjee and Pt. Rajendra Gangani will be performing first
 Pt Subhankar Banerjee
Pt Subhankar Banerjee is a Tabla artist who started playing at the age of 5
 An accomplished tabla player, Pt. Subhankar Banerjee, has accompanied stalwarts such as Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, M. Balamuralikrishna and Ustad Rashid Khan. His solo performances are emblematic of his catholicity as an artist exposed to and enriched by various genres.
Pt. Rajendra Gangani
Rajendra Gangani is an Indian Kathak dancer known for his innovative style and technical wizardry. Gangani is one of the leading practitioners of the Jaipur Gharana style of Kathak. For his contribution to the field of Kathak, Gangani received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2003 from Indian president A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the highest award given for performing arts in India
Part-2 Pakhwaj
 Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and Pt. Bhavani Shankar
Anindo Chatterjee is an Indian tabla player of the Farukhabad gharana school. He was born into a musical family.Gifted with an ability to summon crystal-clear melodies from his drums, he evolved into one of the world's greatest tabla players.The recipient of the prestigious President's Award in 1970, Chatterjee became the first tabla player to perform in the House of Commons 20 years later He performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan when U.S. President Barack Obama visited India in November 2010. Chatterjee received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for 2002.
 Pt. Bhavani Shankar 
Bhavani Shankar is an Indian pakhawaj player.Bhavani Shankar was born into a musical family, beginning his study of pakhawaj and tabla at the age of eight.
He has played with many Indian artists including bansuri player Hariprasad Chaurasia, santoor player Shiv Kumar Sharma and tabla players Zakir Hussain and Anindo Chatterjee. In the last years he has made his mark as a composer for films and experimental fusion projects.
The event will be happening at Kamani auditorium on 7th May'18. It's free entry event. 6:30PM onwards
